“Ben” is a big pretty horse with a blonde mane and tail. He lights up a show ring. I have worked with Ben for a year and given numerous lessons on him with riders of varying skill sets. We have taken him to shows as well. He has handled everything very well. I think his call in life is bigger than a rider development environment. He would excel in an AOT home or in a program where the owner is hands on. He loves people and responds the best to one on one attention. “Ben” is well suited for a strong rider who likes a game and sensible horse. He is bold and covers ground easily. Ben performs the best with a rider who sits close to the saddle and can post with a consistent rhythm and sits a canter quietly. As with most game horses, he builds with a rider who holds a bridle tightly and relaxes with a rider who is proficient with releasing a bridle. He loves jogging and is easy to long line. A successful partner for Ben is proficient with separating their body from their hands and has experience in using a show bridle.
